At first, it was just a baby. Feb. 28th 2003.

Fast forward to two years old.

Cuteeeee!!!!!! If I can say so myself.

Now, I can retire already. No more dirty diapers, no more milk feeds, no more potty, no more ‘cow tied to the house’ frustrations. Whee! My baby is a big boy now!

I have come a long way. Three years ago, at this time, my blood pressure shot up to 170/140. Normal blood pressure is around 80/120. Some divine intervention gave me a little push and I asked the nurses to check my BP eventhough they usually don’t. (full explanation here)

They summoned the doctor immediately and I was treated like some dying old lady. Well, before that it was one harrowing pregnancy filled with lots of bed rest, hospital stays, guilts (for ‘betraying’ Vincent by getting pregnant unexpectedly right after his death) and lotsa worries. In fact, at some point, I thought that this pregnancy was doomed to go the same way as Vincent’s.

However, I had this most beautiful baby at only 36 weeks. Now, three years later, I can celebrate life. Celebrate God’s grace. Thank God and praise Him.

I don’t just have an ordinary baby. I have God’s gift – Matthew.

Had wanted to post his birthday song but this little monkey screamed too loud and the recording has too much static.

  17. And at around this time 3 years ago, I was wondering about Lilian as she seemed a bit quite. Thought she was busy moving to another apartment, and never thought that little Matthew would arrive so soon.

  24. rinduuuuuuuuu awso! lilian, yes, they are gifts, such precious gifts. My eldest will leave the nest soon and already my heart is aching — yet i know i must somehow learn to let go.
